Sony Honda Mobility teams up with FireAid to support wildfire relief

Donations will support immediate relief to impacted communities and provide Southern California with financial resources to prevent future catastrophic wildfires.

Sony Honda Mobility America (SHMA) is partnering with the FireAid benefit concert to bring the biggest names in entertainment together for an evening of music and a show of solidarity for the communities impacted by the L.A. wildfires.

The catastrophic wildfires began on January 7, fueled by the dry, windy weather in Los Angeles. The fires have burned thousands of acres and destroyed thousands of structures, and the estimated cost of the fires amounts to more than $250 billion.

The FireAid benefit concert will take place at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum on January 30 and will be available for global viewers to watch via livestream.

To support the benefit concert, Sony Honda Mobility America will display its premier electric vehicle, the Afeela 1. Attendees will be able to experience the new vehicle first-hand and have an exclusive listening experience. The Afeela 1, which integrates cutting-edge technology and sustainability, is part of SHMA’s vision to lead the way to a sustainable society. Its design emphasizes a seamless connection between technology, mobility, and community, reflecting SHMA’s broader commitment to positive social and environmental impact. The Afeela 1 embodies the concept ofFEEL, representing the interactive relationship between people and mobility, where technology anticipates and responds to human needs.

SHMA’s overarching mission is to move the world toward a sustainable future by integrating technology and community. By showcasing the Afeela 1 at this event, SHMA reinforces its dedication to blending innovation with social responsibility, supporting both the local community and the environment through its sustainable mobility solutions.

Contributions made to FireAid in connection with the benefit concert will be donated under the Annenberg Foundation. Donations will provide funds to support immediate relief to impacted communities as well as long-term support to prevent future catastrophic wildfires across southern California. SHMA’s participation in this event highlights the company’s deep commitment to not just pioneering mobility, but also contributing to the greater good through its technological advancements.
