DAYTON, Ohio – August 4, 2026 – Reynolds and Reynolds today announced that Rey, its agentic AI assistant built specifically for automotive retail, will be featured through hands-on workshops at Reynolds Retail Summit: Amplify 2026, taking place Aug. 10-11 at Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California. The workshops will give dealers an interactive opportunity to explore how Rey can help turn unified data into immediate action across the dealership.
Built on the Spark AI Unified Data Layer, Rey connects with tools and data sources across the Reynolds Retail Management System to handle complex tasks through a single, intuitive command center. Rey can deliver strategic recommendations, generate complex reports in seconds, provide support, and help users reach the Technical Assistance Center. With access to complete, accurate, and deduplicated data, Rey is designed to help dealership teams move from question to action without piecing information together across disconnected systems.
“AI is creating new opportunities across the dealership, and what matters most is applying it in ways that help dealers work smarter, serve their customers better, and build long-term success,” said Chris Walsh, President and Acting CEO of Reynolds. “At Amplify, attendees will see exactly how Rey does that.”
During the event, Reynolds will focus on practical, hands-on Rey workshops built around dealership workflows and real-world use cases. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how Rey can support automating time-consuming tasks, anticipating workflows, surfacing insights, and helping teams take immediate action across the store.
Unlike individual AI agents, Rey is designed to work across the Reynolds ecosystem, using the unified data foundation of Spark AI to support high-impact areas such as customer communication, deal structure, operational analysis, reporting, and support. This connected approach gives Rey the context needed to help users act with greater speed and confidence while saving time and improving efficiency.
Also at Amplify 2026, AJ McGowan, vice president of Research and Development, will present “Moving from Question to Action with Rey” as part of the Reynolds Innovation Roadmap morning keynote. The session will connect the Rey workshop experience to Reynolds broader AI vision.
