Dealer Jessica Stahl acquires first Chevrolet dealership

Stahl, 33, becomes one of the youngest female Chevrolet dealers and one of fewer than 10% of GM dealerships that are majority woman-owned.

Jessica Chevrolet, formerly known as Moyle Chevrolet in Honeoye Falls, N.Y.

Dealer principal Jessica Stahl has acquired Moyle Chevrolet in Honeoye Falls, N.Y., and renamed the dealership Jessica Chevrolet.

Stahl, 33, becomes one of the youngest female Chevrolet dealers in the Northeast and one of fewer than 10% of General Motors dealerships that are majority woman-owned. Jessica  Chevrolet is affiliated with the Bob Johnson Auto Group, which represents 13 brands across 25 dealerships and is no. 46 on the Automotive News Top 150 Dealership Groups 2023.

Stahl grew up in the auto business, working with her father at Bob Johnson Chevrolet as soon as she could drive. Later in her career, she worked for General Motors as a district manager for sales and service, which provided experience working with dealerships of different styles and sizes. After GM, Jessica attended the National Automotive Dealers Association Academy, a program that prepares dealership leaders to operate a successful and profitable automotive business.

“I feel blessed to be running a dealership in this great community,” Stahl said in a news release. “We already have an impeccable sales department in place, and an amazing staff that delivers good, old-fashioned customer service.”

Stahl purchased Moyle Chevrolet from Vito Arbore, who opened the dealership with a partner in 1982. Over the last 42 years, Arbore has been the principal owner and operator, successfully running the family-owned and operated dealership which his son later joined.

Through the ups and downs of the industry and even a devastating fire in 2010 that required a brand-new building, Arbore ran the business with the support of a tremendous customer base.

“It’s not every day a store like Molye becomes available,” Stahl said. “I’m glad that I waited to buy a dealership until I had an opportunity like this one.”

Dave Cantin and Executive Vice President Brian Traugott from the Dave Cantin Group facilitated this buy/sell transaction.
