On the Dash:
- Both models gain more than 20 standard safety and driver assistance features for 2027.
- Trailblazer gets a new Z71 trim with standard AWD and an off-road-tuned suspension.
- Chevrolet has not released pricing, and both models reach dealers in spring 2027.
Chevrolet will add more standard safety equipment, larger screens, and an off-road trim to the 2027 Trax and Trailblazer, with both models reaching dealers in spring 2027. However, Chevrolet didn’t release pricing or say where it will assemble the vehicles.
The updates cover the brand’s two most affordable vehicles. Chevrolet says the two models combined have delivered more than 250,000 units this year, their best sales year. The brand says it sells more small SUVs than any competitor, and that the Trax accounts for one-fifth of segment volume.
An upgraded electrical and software architecture adds more than 20 standard safety and driver-assistance features to both models. Adaptive Cruise Control, Front & Rear Park Assist and Blind Zone Steering Assist are standard. New for 2027 are Reverse Automatic Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Side Bicyclist Alert, Front Park Assist and Rear Seat Belt Indicator.
Both models also get built-in Google with Gemini, a standard 11-inch driver information center, and a standard 11.3-inch infotainment screen. OnStar One is newly available, with 12 months included.
The Trailblazer lineup becomes entry-level, RS and the all-new Z71. Chevrolet calls Z71 its entry-level adventure-ready AWD model. It comes with standard AWD, an off-road-tuned suspension, an underbody skid plate and sport-terrain tires. The Trailblazer also gets a column-mounted shifter, a redesigned center console and rear-passenger HVAC vents. An AutoSense power liftgate is now available.
The Trax trim lineup is entry-level, RS and ACTIV. The 2027 Trax gets a new grille, new wheel designs, all-LED taillamps and a redesigned liftgate. RS models carry 19-inch wheels, the largest on any trim. The Trax gets a power liftgate for the first time.
Chevrolet dealers will sell current Trax and Trailblazer inventory through winter before the 2027 models arrive in spring. We could see new incentives from GM on on outgoing units, since automakers typically push to clear models ahead of a refresh.
