  • Stellantis will honor the $7,500 federal EV tax credit for all eligible EVs and PHEVs in dealer inventory.
  • Jeep Wagoneer S and Wrangler 4xe lead the automaker’s EV and PHEV sales in the U.S. through September.
  • The credit extension follows similar moves by Ford, GM, and Hyundai to maintain EV incentives after the federal deadline.

Stellantis is keeping the $7,500 federal electric vehicle tax credit available for Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo plug-in hybrid and electric models even after the official deadline has passed. The automaker confirmed the credit will apply to vehicles currently in dealer inventory, available for purchase or lease while supplies last.

The move covers all Stellantis EVs and PHEVs, including the Jeep Wagoneer S, Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Grand Cherokee 4xe, Dodge Charger Daytona EV, Dodge Hornet R/T PHEV, Chrysler Pacifica PHEV, and Alfa Romeo Tonale. The Wagoneer S, Jeep’s first all-electric SUV, sold 4,163 units in the third quarter, bringing its year-to-date total to 10,426. The Wrangler 4xe remains the best-selling PHEV in the U.S., with nearly 45,000 units sold in the third quarter and more than 128,000 through September.

This extension of the EV tax credit follows a growing trend among automakers to continue incentives after the federal program ended. Ford, GM, and Hyundai have also announced they will honor the tax credit for eligible EV and PHEV models while dealer inventory lasts. Stellantis’ offer is limited to vehicles currently on dealership lots, meaning the credit could end as soon as inventory is depleted.

By maintaining the credit, Stellantis aims to offset potential sales declines caused by the expiration of the federal incentive and to encourage consumers to adopt its EV and PHEV offerings.
