Fiat Chrysler announces $1 billion investment in US manufacturing, 2,000 new jobs – Fiat Chrysler said Sunday it would spend $1 billion on U.S. manufacturing, including modernizing plants in Michigan and Ohio, in a move that’s set to add 2,000 new jobs, Reuters reported.

Hyundai envisions a car that senses and cures your road rage –  Horsepower and fuel efficiency are still top of mind for carmakers, but now so is something else: your mood. Hyundai Motor has unveiled a concept cockpit for a car that it says could “monitor the physical and mental state of the driver.” Determining a driver’s mental state will help ensure the “optimum health and mental attitude” for safe driving, Mike O’Brien, vice president at Hyundai Motor Americas, said Wednesday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Nissan plans to make robot cars; human ‘mobility managers’ will intervene when needed –  Nissan is the latest in a now long line of automobile companies to go public with plans — sketchy as they may be — for autonomous cars. The Japanese company will begin testing driverless cars in Japan and put them into commercial operation by 2020, according to Carlos Ghosn, who spoke at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Bentley reveals its 209-mph, ‘most powerful’ car ever –  Ultra-luxury car brand Bentley on Thursday revealed its “fastest and most powerful” vehicle ever: the third-generation Bentley Continental Supersports. With a 6-liter, 12-cylinder, twin-turbocharged engine, the redesigned four-seat vehicle will travel zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 209 mph.
