  1. GM investing $148M in Tenn. to increase V-8 production
    The Detroit news says GM plans to increase v-8 production by investing $148 million dollars in its spring hill manufacturing facility in Tennessee. Its purpose is to produce gm’s small block 6.2-liter v-8. 200 jobs will be retained, but no new ones added.
  2. Americans revert to buying gas-guzzlers Americans are buying gas guzzlers again…that’s according to cbsmoneywatch.com. The reason? For the first time since 2004, drivers in the U.S. are expected (in 2016) to pay, on average, less than $2 a gallon for regular grade gas.
  3. Volvo Plans To Be First Automaker To Go Fully ‘Keyless’
    Forbes reports that Volvo plans to be the first automaker to go fully keyless, as early as 2017. The company says in the place of keys or remote key fobs; new owners would use a smartphone app or Bluetooth wireless technology.
  4. Ford’s Fusion Sport helps jump potholes
    The Detroit News says Ford is hoping a new feature on its fusion sport will help ease the pain of hitting potholes. The paper reports that when the country’s third-most popular midsize sedan goes on sale this summer, a system will look ahead for craters and prevent the wheel from dropping to the bottom.
