Originally from Scotch Plains, New Jersey, Colin Carrasquillo is the Digital Marketing director for Nielsen Automotive Group. Prior to joining the Nielson team, he worked for six-and-a-half years on the dealer side and three years in advertising and marketing for various firms outside the automotive industry.
Carrasquillo has attained several accomplishments over the years, including being chosen by the Google Dealer Council as one of ten professionals from the U.S. automotive industry who represented the entire dealer community to shape the future of the digital web for automotive dealers. He has also served on Stellantis’s Digital Advisory Board since October 2021, where he works to “create an open line of communication between Stellantis and its dealer body to enable all parties to become more closely aligned with automotive marketing needs and priorities.”
Carrasquillo has also made appearances on CBT News to discuss the current state of advertising and marketing within the automotive industry. In addition, he notes that he has “successfully launched the digital ecosystems for 8 new dealerships/dealership operations since joining the Nielsen Automotive Group including websites, advertising strategies and campaigns, etc.”
Bill Snouffer, General Manager of the Nielsen Automotive Group, speaks fondly of Carrasquillo, mentioning his “infectious” energy and “his willingness to continually educate himself and stay ahead of the game in an ever-changing digital environment.”
When he isn’t working, Carrasquillo likes to remain active. He states his hobbies include wine (buying, collecting, and drinking), staying active (weightlifting, volleyball, and tennis), and buying and selling comic books. His favorite quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson – “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” – reflects his inner drive and motivation in both his personal and professional life.
