Chardon brings nearly two decades of experience with Citroën and a strong international background in automotive leadership. He succeeds Thierry Koskas, who led the company through a crucial period of renewal, including recent model launches such as the updated C5 Aircross SUV. Under Koskas’ leadership, Citroën undertook significant efforts to refresh its product offerings and reinforce its presence in key markets.

Chardon’s appointment reflects Stellantis’ strategy to position Citroën as a distinct and resilient brand within its global portfolio. With a deep understanding of Citroën’s heritage and future potential, Chardon is tasked with navigating the brand through industry shifts and ensuring it maintains a competitive edge in Europe and beyond.

This leadership change is part of a broader organizational strategy within Stellantis as the group aligns its brands with long-term electrification and mobility goals.
