On the Dash:

  • The 2026 Nissan Sentra features a new fastback design, larger screens, and improved trunk access for practicality and style.
  • Nissan’s ProPilot Assist system is now available on lower trims, enhancing safety and reducing driver fatigue.
  • The Sentra keeps the same 149-horsepower 4-cylinder engine and CVT, maintaining its value-focused approach.

The refreshed 2026 Nissan Sentra sedan will hit showrooms later this year, offering a fresh look, improved trunk accessibility, and the brand’s ProPilot Assist system at a lower price point than ever. The Sentra continues to emphasize value with features typically found in more expensive vehicles, targeting mainstream sedan buyers who prioritize practicality and technology over performance.

The 2026 Sentra’s exterior features a pronounced fastback profile and Nissan’s signature V Motion grille, designed to make the compact sedan appear smaller and sportier. Thin daytime running lights and a narrow lip spoiler frame the bold grille, and two-tone paint schemes accentuate the car’s updated styling. Trunk access is improved with one of the lowest liftover heights in the compact sedan class, enhancing convenience for everyday use.

Inside, Nissan has emphasized technology with a pair of 12.3-inch screens that occupy nearly the full width of the dashboard. All trims feature a large touchscreen, while all but the base model include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Base trims come with a 7-inch cluster. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, with wireless connectivity available on all but the entry-level trim.

Power comes from a familiar 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 149 horsepower, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission driving the front wheels. While performance remains modest, the Sentra benefits from a 6% stiffer body and a revised suspension with shock absorbers designed to reduce road impact, improving ride comfort and handling.

The 2026 Sentra also introduces Nissan’s ProPilot Assist system to more affordable trims. The system can manage steering, acceleration, and braking in stop-and-go traffic, helping reduce driver fatigue. ProPilot Assist is standard on the top SL trim and optional on the SR trim.

Pricing for the 2026 Sentra has not yet been announced. The 2025 model started at $22,835, and Nissan is expected to maintain its reputation for value with the new model.
