  • The Civic is highlighted as a top compact car and popular with Gen Z and first-time buyers.
  • The Accord ranks as the leading midsize car, favored by Millennials, Gen Z, and multicultural buyers.

Honda was crowned winner of the 2026 Best Car Brand for the fifth consecutive year by the U.S. News Cars. The brand’s vehicles—most notably the Accord, Civic, and Civic R—received high scores across the board for performance, quality, safety and reliability.

The Civic, which is currently in its eleventh generation, was highlighted as one of the most well-rounded nameplates in the compact car segment. Honda says the vehicle is a gateway to the brand, America’s best-selling compact car since 1973, and the most popular vehicle among Gen Z, first-time buyers and multicultural buyers.
