Five Star Automotive Group has acquired two dealerships in North Canton, Ohio, through major merger-and-acquisitions broker Tim Lamb Group.

Cain Toyota and Cain BMW were purchased by the dealership group on April 26, 2023, under the supervision of the M&A firm’s president Tim Lamb. Now named Toyota of North and Canton and BMW of North Canton, the two storefronts sell new and used vehicles on a shared 10-acre lot, with a combined 60,694 square feet of showrooms, offices and service centers. The Toyota outlet is one of the Japanese automaker’s best-selling franchises in the region.

Dealer principal David Cain and dealer operator Brian Cain expressed appreciation for their staff and customers over their 42 years of partnership. “It was. hard decision for us to make,” remarked David, “but we felt that the time was right for us to sell.” Choosing to work with Tim Lamb on the sale “just felt right,” he continued, calling it an “easy decision.” Brian noted that the two storefronts were the longest-running BMW and Toyota locations in Ohio, adding: “We were committed to our customers and our staff who have been the cornerstone of our history since 1981…”

Five Star Automotive has now worked with the Tim Lamb Group on 11 different transactions. The purchase brings the dealership organization’s store count to five in Ohio and 32 overall. In a press release, the firm notes that Toyota locations have seen heavy demand in the M&A space: “Toyota North Canton is the seventh Toyota dealership that the Time Lamb Group has brokered in the past year.”
