GM wins 10th consecutive customer loyalty award from S&P Global Mobility

GM’s achievement coincides with rising customer loyalty in the automotive industry.
GM wins its 10th consecutive customer loyalty award from S&P Global Mobility, highlighting strong brand retention and customer satisfaction.

General Motors President Mark Reuss

S&P Global Mobility recognized General Motors (GM) for having the Highest Overall Manufacturer Loyalty award for 2024. This marks the tenth consecutive year that GM has earned the award, cementing its place as a leader in customer loyalty across the automotive industry.

According to S&P Global Mobility, this award is based on the rate at which customers return to purchase or lease another vehicle from the same manufacturer, a key indicator of both product excellence and customer satisfaction. The results were based on an analysis of over 13.1 million new vehicle registrations in the United States during 2024.

GM’s achievement comes at a time when customer loyalty across the automotive industry is on the rise. According to S&P Global Mobility, brand loyalty increased by 0.6% in 2024, reaching 51.6%, signaling a positive trend for the industry as a whole. This increase in customer return-to-market volume indicates that consumers are more likely to stay with the brands they know and trust.

GM’s stunning consecutive streak of wins reflects its ability to maintain the trust and loyalty of its customers year after year as it maintains an unwavering focus on meeting customer needs. The automaker has consistently introduced vehicles that appeal to a broad spectrum of buyers, from fuel-efficient cars to high-performance trucks and cutting-edge electric vehicles (EVs). The extensive lineup appeals to a wide range of consumers, contributing to the company’s decade-long success.

We’re so grateful to our loyal customers who continue to make GM vehicles their go-to-choice,GM President Mark Reuss stated in a press release. He acknowledged the company’s dedication to delivering high-quality vehicles and ensuring exceptional customer service.

In addition to earning the manufacturer loyalty award, the Chevrolet Equinox received recognition for the Highest Model Loyalty in the Small Utility segment. This honor highlights the continued appeal of specific GM models and underscores the importance of maintaining a diverse and attractive portfolio of vehicles.
