Hyundai supports the fight against children’s cancer with $100,000 grant

Marc Riley, COO of Rick Case Automotive Group; Ryan Case; Yosuan Martinez, GM of Rick Case Hyundai Davie; and Fares Abualown, GM of Rick Case Hyundai Plantation, join Hyundai Hope On Wheels® and the South Florida Hyundai Dealers Association to present Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation and Anne Schaefer, M.D. with a Hyundai Impact Award and $100,000 donation.

The Rick Case Automotive Group represented all South Florida Hyundai dealerships when the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation and Anne Schaefer, M.D., pediatric hematologist and oncologist, received a $100,000 Hyundai Impact Award from Hyundai Hope On Wheels and the South Florida Hyundai Dealers Association.

As part of the ceremony, pediatric cancer patients and survivors decorated a Hyundai SUV by painting their hands and leaving their handprints. The car symbolizes their battles with cancer and their aspirations and wishes.

Hyundai Hope On Wheels (HHOW) has been dedicated to discovering a treatment for children’s cancer since it was founded in 1998. Additionally, HHOW offers funding to qualified organizations nationwide working tirelessly to find new ways to treat the illness and save lives.

The hospital’s pediatric treatment and assistance will be supported in part by the $100,000 Hyundai Impact Award. Since the nationwide introduction of Hyundai Hope On Wheels in 1998, the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation has received $1.2 million from the non-profit.

One of the top children’s hospitals in the country, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, provides a wide range of healthcare services and initiatives in a nurturing, kid-focused environment. The hospital’s nonprofit foundation concentrates on philanthropy to have a good effect on patients and their families and to support the purpose of the pediatric center through funding programs, facilities, and equipment. Also, the level-one trauma center combines cutting-edge technology, the knowledge of board-certified experts, and a patient/ family-centered approach to healing the body, mind, and spirit.

According to Marc Riley, COO of Rick Case Automotive Group: “Because ‘Every Handprint Tells a Story,’ our dedication to the battle against pediatric cancer lies at the heart of who we are and what we attempt to do to improve the world. A child’s life is priceless. We are happy to unite with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in this effort on behalf of all my local Hyundai dealers. I appreciate everything you do.”
