  1. Ford Wants to Be the Next Uber
    Ford says it wants to be the next Uber. According to CNNMoney.com the automaker’s head of research, Ken Washington says, “Our vision is to be a mobility service provider, beyond building a vehicle that would be in somebody else’s fleet.”
  2. GM buys wind power from EDP to build its biggest SUVs
    GM is buying wind energy for a factory in Texas. Reuters says the reason why is to power production of some of its biggest SUVs at the plant in Arlington, TX. Over the course of the 14-year deal with EDP, GM will avoid more that 1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. That is equivalent to the emissions of 112 million gallons of gasoline consumed.
  3. Hyundai Builds A Better Car Manual Using Augmented Reality
    Hyundai has found a solution to the age old car manual. They will release a virtual guide app for the 2015 Sonota. The app will have 82 how-to videos and more than 50 informational guides.
  4. These are the safest cars for 2016
    The insurance institute for highway safety released it’s list of safest cars for 2016. Autoblog says there was only one car from Detroit’s big three among the ones bestowed with a top safety pick + rating and that was the Chrysler 200. It was the lone representative from the traditional domestic manufacturers among the top 48 vehicles.
