car buyer satisfactionA new Cox Automotive report has revealed that car buyer satisfaction continued to decline in 2022, despite industry efforts to provide better service in the wake of economic headwinds. Cox’s analysts based their conclusions on survey answers from over 10,000 participants, all of whom sought to buy a car in 2022. The move is intended to attract deal-starved EV buyers and avoid losing consumers to Tesla, which continues to confidently dominate the market despite a chaotic performance in 2022. The battle for the few customers in the space is intense, and, as a brand representative bluntly noted, “when other brands reduce their prices we have to come up with promotions to ensure VinFast’s competitiveness.” Read More

HertzHertz is teaming up with the city of Denver to build out its charging infrastructure to support the ongoing transition to electric vehicles. The automaker intends to add more than 5,000 EVs to its Denver fleet as part of the program dubbed “Hertz electrified.” The program will provide public EV chargers, training, and tools throughout the city’s technical high schools, in an effort to strike similar partnerships across the country. Toyota, ToyodaTo hasten the global transition to sustainable transportation, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda suggested replacing the powertrains of its vehicles already on the road at a recent event. His message was that, contrary to what some critics have claimed, Toyota is not lagging in the space of electric vehicles.
