How tariffs on steel and aluminum would impact car buyers
It was the announcement a few weeks ago of a possible gas tax on consumers to help pay for infrastructure. Now, President Trump says the U.S. will impose a 25% tariff on steel imports and 10% tariff on aluminum. Obviously, both proposals would eventually end up hurting the pockets of customers, but with the steel and aluminum tariffs, just how much would the impact be on car-buyers? Watch Now
Car dealer bill aimed at dealership regulations on training stalls
Florida Politics reports a bill aimed at making changes to car dealership regulations stalled out in its second House committee a few weeks ago over objections it was tailored to hand a single industry association a monopoly on dealer training. Naples Republican representative Bob Rommel introduced HB 595, a bill that would make changes to various legal definitions relating to car dealers, but a strike-all amendment filed by Rommel would have required new car dealers to take a 4-hour course each year to keep their license, which would put them in line with requirements set for used car dealers.
