Vince Sheehy Celebrates Sheehy Auto’s Sales and Charitable Initiatives

Automotive News

[powerpress]

There are countless lessons to learn during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dealers are learning more in the span of a few months than they might over the course of a few years. However, for Vince Sheehy, president of Sheehy Auto Stores, one thing has remained constant; his dedication to helping others and lifting up his community. He joins us today to talk about the lessons he has learned running his dealership in the midst of a pandemic, and how his dealer group is giving back during this crisis.

Like many other dealers we’ve spoken to, sales across Sheehy’s 29 dealerships took a hit this spring, but bounced back strong in May, June, and July. While Sheehy had to furlough several hundred employees, Vince said there are measures and processes in place to bring all of those employees back.

During these challenging times, Sheehy stores managed to give back to their local communities in a myriad of different ways. These initiatives included monetary donations to local schools, providing students with technology to complete their digital learning, hefty discounts on service orders for active healthcare workers, and countless meal donations. Going on right now, is the 23rd annual Sheehy 8000 Sales Race. From July 17th through September 8th Sheehy Auto Stores will collectively try to sell 8,000 cars to raise awareness and money for the American Heart Association.

Sheehy Auto Stores is the 32nd largest dealer group in the nation with 29 dealerships located from Baltimore, Maryland to Richmond, Virginia. Started in 1966, Sheehy Auto Stores is still largely a family-owned business and has grown to more than $1.5 billion annually.
