  1. Hyundai is bringing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to some of its older cars – Hyundai will expand support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a number of recent model year vehicles, reports MacRumors. The Korean carmaker will be bringing the smartphone connectivity suites to its 2016 model year Azera, Veloster, and Sonata hybrid vehicles, as well as to its 2015 model of the luxury Azera.
  2. The Superglue Diet: How to Make a Lighter, Fuel-Sipping Car – The 2017 GMC Acadia sport utility vehicle that is just starting to arrive in dealerships around the country is 700 pounds lighter than the version it replaces, and can go 23 miles on a gallon of gasoline, up from 18 m.p.g., a 28 percent improvement.

  3. Jaguar is the hottest car company in America – The memo that the U.S. car market is finally slowing down apparently didn’t make it to Coventry, England. From its U.K. headquarters, Tata Motors’ Jaguar brand has rocketed to the front of an increasingly listless crowd of vehicles in America.

  4. Ford gets $6M fuel cell research grant from Dept. of Energy –  The U.S. Department of Energy has approved $6 million to be shared by Ford and the Los Alamos National Laboratory to accelerate development of hydrogen fuel cell technology. U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Dearborn, announced the grant Thursday. “Ford is helping lead the nation in the research and development of next-generation technologies that will make our cars cleaner, safer and more fuel efficient,” Dingell said in a statement.
