About 80% of Raabe Ford’s Facebook reach now comes from people who do not already follow the dealership, according to Amber Shayler, 26, the store’s marketing manager in Delphos, Ohio.
She started in dealership sales while earning her MBA and spent two years on the floor before moving into marketing. When she joined Raabe Ford there was no in-house marketing position, so she helped build the role and bring more of the day-to-day work in-house, alongside outside vendors. She oversees strategy, brand, digital and social, advertising, and community outreach for a team of 13.
Her approach is to build relationships long before anyone needs a car, with monthly giveaways, puppy yoga, food and school supply drives, and local food trucks invited to the lot to serve employees. Her nomination says the fundraisers have raised more than $1,000 for local organizations. She also helps organize and monitor lead follow-up and is helping develop the store’s BDC process.
Outside the store, she has coached softball at the high school and college levels and still gives individual hitting and pitching lessons.
“Leadership is not about having all the answers.”
