Audi Chantilly recently finished as the No. 1 Audi dealership in its region, the first time the store has held that spot since it opened, according to General Sales Manager Hassan Usmani, 39. He is working to repeat it with a 24-person sales team across new and used.
Hassan has worked in retail auto since 2012 and in management since 2014. He moved up through Toyota, including a run as general sales manager at Ourisman Toyota, before joining Audi Chantilly in 2024. His method is daily and hands-on. He coaches on the floor, reviews deals and appraisals, and holds the team to clear expectations on appointments, follow-up, inventory and pricing. He also connected service and sales by working the service drive to turn existing customers into vehicle sales, and he trades notes with other Audi stores in the network.
Developing people is the part he talks about first. At Ourisman he promoted numerous salespeople into management, and he still coaches consultants and managers on deal structure, CSI and accountability. He believes “a successful leader should not simply manage results, but should develop the people responsible for producing those results.”
